Thailand’s Noonswoon, an application for match maker, has attracted funding from the well known Silicon Valley firm, Golden Gate Venture and 500 Startups, reports Matichon, a Thai press for the progressive intellect. Matichon reports Thailand’s giant telecom firm AIS, has inked an agreement with Noonswoon to make available the match making application to AIS 3G mobile phone customers. Noonswoon is AIS first Start Up Partner that have progressed to be AIS Incubated Content Partner. Mickey Asavanant, Noonswoon’s co-founder, says quote “AIS normally works with big companies such as movie makers, ringtone makers, or music makers to be their content partners. But we’re the first startup that the telco is interested in. So they started ICP. The new partnership allows us to work together on campaigning, sharing infrastructure, SMS services, a payment gateway, and many more things to come. Noonswoon also offers a discount for AIS customers. For example, AIS customers who register on Noonswoon get more virtual candy to use a social currency on the platform.”
