Myanmar-Thai Business Matching will be held at the headquarters of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) next month.  At the occasion, Myanmar businessmen will have a chance to discuss with Thai entrepreneurs who want to get the sole distributor or agent of their products in the Myanmar market. The event is aimed at promoting bilateral trade between Myanmar and Thailand, according to Thai Commercial Office here on Friday. Jointly organized by UMFCCI and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the business matching is scheduled to take place on Oct. 4. About 49 Thai companies related to import and export, health, technology, cosmetics, food and cold storage will join the event. Thailand invested 410 million U.S. dollars in Myanmar in the first half of 2013, leading in Myanmar’s foreign investor line-up during the six-month period. (Source)
