Vogue, the fashion media house, sets up fund to finance promising Thai designers

Vogue, the fashion magazine empire, in Thailand just held a charity event and raised about US$40,000 for Vogue Fund, to help new Thai designer got off the ground, with financial support and advice. Vogue just entered Thailand a few months ago with a Thai edition, where the magazine was sold out in Thailand days after hitting the news-stand. The charity event that raise the about US$40,000 was from the auctioning off of specialty one of a kind objects, designed by some of Thailand’s top designer.  The Vogue Fund plans to seek out promising young Thai designer to support. For a return on its investment, Vogue plans a more effective CRS program in Thailand, where media such as Vogue, is known mostly as a proponent of corporate fashion and big fashion. (Source)
