Thailand at 18th in ease of doing business, dragged massively by getting credit & paying tax

IMF & World Bank finds Thailand ease of doing business at 18, getting credit & paying tax drags massively

The IMF and World Bank has found that Thailand ranks 18th globally on ease of doing business. Getting credit was ranked 73 and ease of pay tax is ranked 76. Starting business was ranked 91. Registering business was ranked 29, ease of cross border trade at 24 and enforcement of contract at 22. On the bright side, getting construction permit and electricity were ranked 14 and 12. Protecting investments was also ranked 12th. Globally, Thailand at 18th place, follows Singapore that is ranked 1st place globally at ease of doing business. Malaysia was ranked 6th followed by Taiwan. (Source)
